Whittier Area Interfaith Council (WAIC)
What We Do
The Whittier Area Interfaith Council provides emergency shelter for families with minor children and, at times, extend this type of assistance to adults with significant medical conditions.
We refer those seeking or receiving assistance from us to government programs and services for long term housing.

Through generous donations of our benefactors, we provide needed items, such as socks, underwear, footwear, duffel bags, toiletries, and in these days of COVID-19, masks to those in need.

We support existing non-profit agencies that serve homeless young adults and those aging out of the foster care system.

Another objective of the Council is to encourage interfaith dialogue and understanding by providing educational opportunities for the community.
