On April 12, 2021 the Whittier Consortium on Homelessness, of which we are a member,
held their quarterly meeting with the theme of
“Homelessness 2021: Families and Schools”.

ï‚· Dr. David Gonzalez opened the meeting with a description and history of the Consortium.

ï‚· Amy Larson, Whittier Union High School District spoke about homeless services for school age children through the school districts .

ï‚· Silveth Renteria, of The Whole Child, spoke about government services as delivered by TWC.

ï‚· Rita Rubin, WAIC, spoke about community efforts to meet the immediate needs of families through our “Family Shelter Assistance” program.
